By downloading, installing, or using the ChitBook mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use the App.

1. Nature of the Service (Important Disclaimer)

ChitBook is strictly a digital record-keeping and management tool designed to help users track chit groups, members, and contributions.

2. Eligibility

• You must be 18 years or older to use this App.
• By using the App, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into this agreement under Indian law.

3. User Accounts & Security

• Users authenticate using phone numbers and OTP.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and OTP.
• You are responsible for all activities performed through your account.
• ChitBook is not responsible for unauthorised access caused by sharing your phone, OTP, or credentials.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

While the basic version of ChitBook is free, we offer Premium subscription plans for advanced features.

• Payments for these subscriptions are processed securely via third-party providers like Razorpay.
• By upgrading, you agree to the pricing, billing cycles, and policies presented at the time of purchase.
• All subscription fees are non-refundable unless stated otherwise in our Refund Policy.

5. Use of the App

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or misuse the App's infrastructure.
• Use the App to organize illegal lotteries or fraudulent schemes.
• Input misleading or deceptive data to defraud other members.

6. Data Accuracy & User Responsibility

• All data entered (members, amounts, payments, commissions) is user-provided.
• ChitBook does not verify the correctness or legality of your groups.
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your records and any disputes arising between group members.
• ChitBook assumes no liability for unpaid dues, fraud, or mismanagement within your group.

7. Commission & Calculations

• Calculations (interest, dividend, commission) are based strictly on user-input parameters.
• ChitBook provides mathematical outputs but does not guarantee the financial viability of your groups.
• Final responsibility for settlements and payouts lies entirely with the group manager and members.

8. Notifications & Communication

• The App may send SMS or Push notifications for payment reminders or updates.
• We do not guarantee 100% delivery of notifications as they depend on third-party gateways and device network status.

9. Data Privacy

Your data is handled with strict confidentiality as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

10. Account & Data Deletion

In compliance with App Store and Play Store guidelines, you may request full deletion of your account and data at any time.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChitBook and its owners shall not be liable for any financial losses, data loss, or indirect damages resulting from your use of the App. Use of the App is at your own risk.

12. Service Availability

• We reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue features to improve the service.
• We do not guarantee 100% uptime but strive to maintain service continuity.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will attempt to provide notice for major changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
