Is ChitBook a chit fund company?
No. ChitBook is purely a software utility tool. We are not a financial institution, we do not pool money, and we are not regulated by the RBI. We just provide the calculator and ledger.
Does money flow through ChitBook?
No. All actual payments must happen offline in cash or via your own UPI/Bank transfers. You only log the transaction records in the app.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Your data is stored locally on your device by default. If you opt for cloud backup, it is securely encrypted.
Does it work without internet?
Yes! You can view your ledger and log payments offline. The app will sync when you connect to the internet.
Is it available on iOS?
Currently, ChitBook is only available on Android via the Google Play Store. An iOS version is in the works!
